Woman in Islam
Before Islam, girls were buried alive, women had almost no rights and were bought and sold like goods
After Islam
1. Spiritual Equality: Both men and women are seen as equal before God and are equally responsible for their faith and actions.
2. Education: Islam encourages the pursuit of knowledge for both men and women.
3. Economic Rights: Women have the right to own property, engage in business, and retain their earnings.
4. Marriage and Family: Women have the right to choose their spouse and have a say in marriage contracts. They also have the right to seek divorce under certain conditions.
5. Legal Rights: Women can participate in legal matters, including acting as witnesses and seeking justice.
Women are exempt from all financial liabilities. As a wife, a woman is entitled to demand of her prospective husband a suitable dowry that will be her own. She is entitled to complete provision and total maintenance by the husband.
In Islam, Muslim women are required to cover their hair like Mary and nuns.
Scientific studies show that men are much more likely to be affected by looking at the opposite sex than women. It is not possible for a woman to understand this feeling with empathy. Men looking at women is forbidden in Islam, as it is in the Bible. But unfortunately, when someone shows off their diamonds, they are inviting thieves. While the Quran prohibits men from looking, it also orders women to cover themselves.

The mistakes of so-called Muslims are not the fault of Islam. Women's rights are clearly written in the Quran and Hadith. Unfortunately, some Muslims neglect these rules and treat women badly. As you can see below, in every religion, including Christianity, there are people who abuse or do not follow the rules of the religion. For this reason, we cannot judge and learn about religions based on the behavior of people from those religions.

First Muslim Women in Business Life
Khadija bint Khuwaylid (rtaf)
The first wife of our Prophet (sa) Khadijah bint Khuwaylid (rtaf) was a successful and famous business woman of Makkah. She was a woman of intelligence, who was deeply respected in her society. Khadijah (rtaf) was the leading business woman of her time. She played significant role in the rise of Islam, offering to the Prophet (sa) encouragement and moral support. What’s remarkable is that she was also an obedient wife and a loving mother of six children.
Asma bint Abu Bakr (rtaf)
When Asma (rtaf), the daughter of Abu Bakr (rtam), got married to Zubair (rtam), they did not have wealth. Prophet Muhammad (sa) gave them some land about two miles away from their home. Asma (rtaf) used to farm and transport the products herself. She was also a dutiful wife and remarkable mother.
Zainab bint Jahash (rtaf)
As narrated by Aisha (rtaf), Ummul Mumineen Zainab bint Jahash (rtaf) used to process leather and then sew different things from it to sell in the market. She was also an obedient wife, and also known for her piety and generosity as a Muslimah.
Al-Shifa bint Muawiz (rtaf)
Woman trader Al-Shifa bint Muawiz (rtaf) was elected to be the “commandant” of Madinah market.
Sauda (rtaf)
Wife of the Prophet (sa) Saudah (rtaf) was an expert in lather tanning skins. She sold her tanned goods to trading caravans and local men throughout Madinah. Sauda (rtaf) was a supportive wife of the Prophet (sa) after Khadija’s (rtaf) death and also a kind mother to the Prophet’s (sa) children.
Rufayda Al-Aslamia (rtaf)
She was an Arab medical and social worker recognized as the first female Muslim nurse and the first female surgeon in Islam
Al-Shifa bint Abdullah (rtaf)
She was in charge of making sure that all business practices matched with the rulings, teachings, and values of Islam.
More Successful Women
Other women, such as Khaula, Lakhmia, Thaqafia, and Bint Makhramah, traded in oriental oil based perfumes.
More than 1400 years ago, Islam granted to these great women the rights that Western women have acquitted only recently. We can truly be proud of these successful Muslim women entrepreneurs and encourage the Muslim women of today to follow the examples they have set.

Woman in the Bible
Matthew 5:32
But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, makes her the victim of adultery, and anyone who marries a divorced woman commits adultery
Deuteronomy 22:20-21 New International Version (NIV)
If, however, the charge is true and no proof of the young woman’s virginity can be found, she shall be brought to the door of her father’s house and there the men of her town shall stone her to death. She has done an outrageous thing in Israel by being promiscuous while still in her father’s house. You must purge the evil from among you.
Timothy 2:11-14 New International Version (NIV)
A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man; she must be quiet. For Adam was formed first, then Eve. And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner.
Corinthians 11:6 Amplified Bible (AMP)
If a woman does not cover her head, she should have her hair cut off; and if it is disgraceful for a woman to have her hair cut off or her head shaved, she should cover her head.
Corinthians 14:34-35 New International Version
Women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the law says.If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church.
